SHIPWRECKED
The group has washed ashore after their luxury cruise ship sunk. Now they have to divide into groups and survive, using their wits, skills, and teamwork. They will acquire real skills from Navy Seal Survivor Kits, including making drinking water from sea water, building a fire, opening a coconut with a rock, catching fish, and building shelter, all with "found materials." Can be anywhere from 2-3 hours, depending on what the client wants. We bring all gear and facilitate all competitions. Group is divided into teams of 6 to 8. Watch a short video here!
Drum Circle
Nothing serves as a better metaphor for teamwork than a group percussion ensemble. Everyone contributes, everyone has a part, and everyone makes music - together. It’s a profound experience to take a group who largely believe they aren’t musical and turn them into musicians, experiencing the joy of the musical conversation. This facilitated workshop brings out smiles, thrills, and occasionally outbursts of spontaneous dancing. Drum circles can be a great icebreaker to start or finish a meeting or presentation, or a great way to relax, under the stars, before or after dinner. Watch one of our drum circles here!
BEACH OLYMPICS
Volleyball, Horseshoes, Baggo, Ladder Ball, Frisbee, football, sand sculpting and paddleboards. We can customize a competition, or just oversee a free-for-all. 2 -4 hours, depending on what the client wants. We bring all gear and facilitate all competitions. Group is divided into teams of 8 or 10.
CASTAWAY (BUILD A BOAT)
Our build-a-boat program is a perfect way to sail your group towards a more compatible team. Using all recyclable materials such as wood, rope and PVC, Teams will brainstorm seaworthy concepts and create a blueprint for their vessel. Then they will name it and create a graphic and tagline. Then they coordinate a seaworthy construction, finally bringing it to the edge of sea (or local pool) for launch. It ends with a splash as teams race the length of the pool to see who can finish first, and avoid sinking. It’s a sea of laughs and fun.
ELECTRIC BIKE TOURS
Experience the sublime beauty of Laguna Beach on this easy and historic loop that bypasses the busy streets. Pedal through the quaint Craftsman neighborhoods and gardens, access amazing view corridors, stop at Heisler Park to see the magnificent public art and experience the charming downtown commercial district with many artist residencies.
